Personal Use

These are items I use in my personal life. From Sundries to Electronics. Hope you find something useful here and if you’d like to suggest I try something, please share.

How to Live In a Car, Van, or RV: And Get Out of Debt, Travel, and Find True Freedom

Though I could probably have written this book, I just wanted to hear someone else talk about it. It was a good read and I suggest anyone who is thinking about going Full Time in an RV – read it!

Smartwool Trekking Crew Socks – Men’s Heavy Cushioned Wool Performance Sock

When you live small; that is when you live in a small space – you don’t have a lot of room for incidentals. Therefor, when I am looking at clothing, it must serve multiple purposes for me. These socks are a great example. Warm in the winter, cool in the summer. Can get wet and they dry quickly. They are the only socks I own.

Nekmit Dual Port Ultra Thin Flat USB Wall Charger with Smart IC, Black

I like to carry a dual USB charger with me, but one of the biggest problems I encounter is that there is either no room for it to stick out from the wall or your cords get stressed and the connection weakens when it sticks straight out. I found this one and it has worked really good for me. No more stressing my charger cords and fits outlets even with the tightest clearances.

LAX Gadgets Durable iPhone Charger – Apple MFi Certified Braided Long Lightning Cable Compatible with iPhone X/ 8/8 Plus/ 7/7 Plus/IPad Pro [2-Pack, 10-Ft Black]

I love these cables! One of the problems I’d run into when House and Pet sitting was that the outlets would be too far from my bed. With these charger cords, I can plug in anywhere and they always reach me. On top of that, the company really stands behind their product. I had a problem with one of the cords and they replaced it right away for me.

VELOSOCK Full Bike Cover for Indoor Storage and Transportation – 3 Versions (MTB, Road, Triathlon)

This has been available in Europe for a while and I was so excited to see it finally be released in the US. Up until now, any bike cover used during transport was simply a waste. It would shred in no time going down the highway, but the VeloSock is superior. It will keep the road grime off your ride and protect it from sun and road salt too. I highly recommend this!

OBi200 1-Port VoIP Phone Adapter with Google Voice and Fax Support for Home and SOHO Phone Service, Blue

After ditching the landline in Vermont, I had grown tired of paying ISPs big money just so I could get online, but I also didn’t want to lose my VoIP system. Yeah, those Triple Play deals are ripoffs! Then I discovered this device and with the right router and a Google Account, I was able to set up my own VoIP for just the cost of this device and about $15 per year for 911 service.

Arris CM820A (Comcast Version) DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem

I used this modem in the process of setting up my own VoIP and breaking free of the ISPs Bundling Game

TP-Link N600 Wireless Wi-Fi Dual Band Router (TL-WDR3500)

This was the final piece of the puzzle in breaking free from the ISPs Bundling Game. Did you know that if you use the ISPs WiFi router, they include a public link so others can access the internet through your paid service?

Never miss a post!

Cleaning – Cleansing – Sanitizing It’s something on everyone’s mind these days, but how many are cleansing their body, mind and their  environment – of stuff? • New York to Washington State – One Year Later December 4, 2019
I readily admit that I enjoy Facebook Memories. Looking back at where I was one, two, even eight years ago on a specific day reminds me of how far I have come. How fast life moves and how easy it is to forget where you were and as my Fifty-fifth birthday approaches rapidly, there is... […]
