November 10, 2013 Leavenworth, WA 132,004.1 (yes we’ve put 2000 miles on Sandy already) We camped last night in a little nothing much campground which was perfect as we were arriving after dark and not sticking around for sightseeing so it was convenient (right off the ferry) and cheep and quite friendly. I even met…

Friday Harbor, WA
We pulled into Friday Harbor and I saw my friend Steven K. Roberts boat right away. SV Nomadness was docked right next to the ferry, but being greeted by the “friendly” US Customs Agent was another story. I actually expected entry back into the US to be problem free. After all, I’m a US Citizen and I have my paperwork and I just left the US yesterday.

Port Angeles, WA
Mt. Olympus was completely covered in snow and just picture perfect. I really wanted to get up to the snow though, but I am sure I will have plenty of opportunity ahead for that as we eventually make our way east.
Stuart works on Sandy
There are days when you sight see and experience amazing beauty…then there are days like today where you witness the kindness of another human. I met Stuart on line less than a month ago. Outside of the bus and his interest in my purchase, we knew nothing about each other. Until last night, we had…
Seattle WA
Seattle WA! This was it…my last Western City I needed on my bucket list. Everything else from here on out is gravy. I’ve been dreaming of going to Seattle since 1999. Specifically, Pikes Place and the home of Starbucks.
North to Seattle – Day 2
11/4/2013 After taking care of some business, we left the beautiful Sea and Sand RV Park around 11am under rainy skies and overcast. A little while later I pass a small roadside sign announcing that we just crossed the 45th Parallel. That is the 1/2 way point between the Equator and the North Pole. That…
North to Seattle – Day 1
“With Each Day Brings a New Beginning” November 3, 2013 We started off this morning or rather late morning as it was about 11:30, just south of Eugene, OR. I did not start off fine. First I must say that I was quite impressed with Deerwood RV Park. Though it was built for the “Big…
Eugene Oregon
We pulled into Eugene last night around 5:30pm. Our first stop was at The No Name Garage to see Miles. Miles has been around VW’s all his life as his Dad was a VW Mechanic. Miles and his mechanics not only know VW’s inside and out, they know Buses.
North to Oregon – Day 5
It’s officially One Week that I have been living in the bus and traveling now. Sure does not seem like it and I hope this feeling continues as there are 4 more weeks to go.
