There were a lot of options in choosing a swivel adapter plate for the van, well a lot until you have certain requirements and then only one made the grade. That requirement for me was that it had to be stable and not lift the seat up too high as I’m already 6′ 4″ tall. That left only one company in the running – SCOPEMA and the place to get those in the USA – why Canada of course.
I ordered my Scopema adapters from Travios in Canada and lucky for me, he had just gotten a shipment in. Lucky because you usually wait months for these. Knowing that I was going to eliminate the clunky Emergency Brake between the seats anyway, I opted to swivel both seats. I should also note that I have the 10 way power drivers seat and both seats are heated. Just proof that you can do it, despite the critics telling you otherwise.
I also want to point out that these will swivel without having to open the door. While you might not want to go through that trouble, I did. Frame rails were shortened to make that happen and the seat still goes all the way back. No more damaged door panels.
