“With Each Day Brings a New Beginning” November 3, 2013 We started off this morning or rather late morning as it was about 11:30, just south of Eugene, OR. I did not start off fine. First I must say that I was quite impressed with Deerwood RV Park. Though it was built for the “Big…

Eugene Oregon
We pulled into Eugene last night around 5:30pm. Our first stop was at The No Name Garage to see Miles. Miles has been around VW’s all his life as his Dad was a VW Mechanic. Miles and his mechanics not only know VW’s inside and out, they know Buses.
North to Oregon – Day 5
It’s officially One Week that I have been living in the bus and traveling now. Sure does not seem like it and I hope this feeling continues as there are 4 more weeks to go.
North to Oregon – Day 4
Camping here, one is assured of an Elk spotting, but more to the point, an encounter with an Elk. See, you don’t just “spot them” here, you are camping right where they graze, sleep and…poop.
North to Oregon Day 3
We left Westport Beach late in the morning as I did a lot of work on the blog and also had to process a number of Internet Orders for our Motorcycle Parts business. I knew that we’d be turning East today away from the Coastline so I was a bit disappointed in that, but as…
North to Oregon…Day 2

North to Oregon…Day 1
We left San Francisco late afternoon on Sunday, October 27, 2013. Upon arriving in Marin County we immediately got on RT 1 also known as Shoreline Highway in this section while south its known as the Pacific Coast Highway. I must still have some motorcycle genes in me because I loved this section of road.
San Francisco, CA
The walk back to the bus revealed to me the city I had failed to see when I arrived in darkness the night before. I was anxious to go explore, but some of my first impressions were just how many steep hills there were. How high up we actually were and how nice everyone was that I met on our walk.
San Francisco bound.
I was a bt concerned as to how this 4 speed bus would handle the steep grade, not so much getting up, but having to stop on that hill at the numerous stop signs and take off. I must say…I was impressed with Sandy (my Bus). She took them on with no problem.
I bought a Bus…a VW Bus
So here we are traveling at 496 mph , flying at 3,407 feet on our way to another adventure. How did we get here? I guess I need to go way back to my first encounter.
